John D. Bair is an American actor and stand-up comic whose work includes working as an extra or stand-in in TV shows such as "Ted," "Spin City" and "Sex in the City."
Born in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania on October 1, 1962, he studied at Stella Adler Conservatory in New York City, later training in comedy at The Manhattan Punchline and The New York Comedy Institute. He urther honed his skills in New York comedy clubs, such as Caroline's On Broadway and Don't Tell Mama. He also worked as an extra on "Saturday Night Live" from 1990 to 1991 alongside Chris Farley, Kevin Nealon and Phil Hartman.
Bair also worked as a sketch character on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" and "Upright Citizens Brigade." In addition to considerable commercial work, he worked as a stand-in for Kevin Bacon, Charles Busch, Richard Dreyfuss, George Eads and Sean Astin. In January 2008, he completed work on "The International" filmed in New York, Istanbul and Luxembourg and opened for the Berlin International Film Festival, released worldwide February 2009.
