John Michael Bolger is an American actor known for the movies, "War of the Worlds," "Public Enemies" and "Carlito's Way."
Not much is known about Bolger's early life and career. He was born June 27, 1956 in New York City, New York, and as an actor started out making appearances in television with roles in "The Equalizer," "Crime Story," "A Bronx Zoo" and "A Year in the Life" before getting a recurring role on "Beauty and the Beast." He also appeared in the Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito film, "Twins" and "Carlito's Way," but he mostly played police officers and detectives in procedural series, such as "NYPD Blue," "Brooklyn South," "ER," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and "Blind Justice." He is perhaps most well known for his three-season run in the NBC hit series, "Third Watch" as FDNY Lieutenant Johnson.
Bolger has also starred in several independently released films including "Rounding First," "Closer to Home" and "Artists of Hell's Kitchen." He also starred in Michael Mann's "Public Enemies" with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale.
