Julie McCullough

Julie Michelle McCullough is an American actress, model and stand-up comedian best known as Playboy's Playmate of the Month for February 1986; she is also known for playing Julie Costello on "Growing Pains" from 1989 to 1990.
Born of Irish descent in Honolulu, Hawaii on January 30, 1967, she was named after a 1950s song called "Oh Julie." She has one older brother named Joey, but her parents divorced in 1969. Her mother, Nancy McCullough, eventually married Herman Paynter, a member of the United States Marine Corp in 1970, and Julie became a "military brat," traveling around the country and living in several states over her life, including North Carolina, West Virginia, Florida, Louisiana, Missouri, Texas, Nevada and California as well as Canada and Italy. She personally considers herself Southern, having attended high school in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Allen, Texas.
While she was living in Allen, Texas, McCullough was approached by a photographer who helped her pose for Playboy magazine. She appeared in the magazine's February 1985 "Girls of Texas" pictoral and became their February 1986 Playmate of the Month, appearing several more times in the magazine through the 1980s and on the cover of "Inside Sports" magazine's swimsuit issue.
Her popularity in Playboy eventually allowed her to make appearances as an actress on television, and she appeared on "Who's the Boss," "Max Headroom," "Super Boy," "The Golden Girls," "Married With Children," "The Munsters Today," "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Harry and the Hendersons" and one season as a regular on "Growing Pains" with Alan Thicke, Joanna Kerns and Kirk Cameron. She also starred in the movies "Big Bad Momma 2," the 1988 remake of "The Blob," "Without Her Consent" and "Revenge of the Nerds."
Through the 90s, McCullough played Drew Carey's vivacious neighbor Sunny in the first season of "The Drew Carey Show." She also had recurring roles in "Drexell's Class" and "Robin's Hoods" with Rick Springfield and appearances in the movies "Round Trip to Heaven," "The Baby Doll Murders," "Arly Hanks," "The St. Tammany Miracle" and "Breast Men." Her TV appearances also include the TV series "Pacific Blue," "Relic Hunter" and "Black Scorpion." In 2004, she voiced herself as a tutorial guide in the video game, "Playboy: The Mansion."
In 2001, Julie married actor David Sutcliffe, probably best known for the short-lived TV Series "I'm With Her" with actress Teri Polo, but they divorced in 2003. She went on to perform as a stand-up comedian with acts at the Hollywood Improv, the Palms Hotel and Casino and the Laugh Factory. She also appeared on the E! reality show "The Girls Next Door." She celebrated her 50th birthday at the Comedy Store Club in Hollywood with a sold-out stand-up comedy show.
Her recent movie appearances include roles in "Sharknado," "Renaissance Man" and "Hospital Arrest."
