Lynsey Marie Bartilson is an American actress, dancer, and singer, possibly best known for playing the sarcastic and caustic daughter, Lily Finnerty, on the 1990s TV Series. "Grounded for Life."
Born in Edina, Minnesota on July 1, 1983, Lynsey was four years old when her family moved to Los Angeles, California. She became very interested in dance at a very young age, winning her first talent competition at the age of seven. She became interested in acting during a summer drama class in which she was cast as the Wicked Witch in a production of "The Wizard of Oz" where she showed an instinct for comedic timing.
Acting professionally at the age of nine, Bartilson made her television debut hosting "Kidsongs" on Nickelodeon in 1990. while performing in professional musical theater productions across Los Angeles. She played Annie in three different productions and got great notices as Effie Lou in a production of "Amelia Bedelia." She won a Dramalogue Award for her performance as Young Maxine in Situation Tragedy while still dancing professionally, appearing twice in the Joffrey Ballet's annual "Nutcracker," eventually getting cast opposite actress Angela Lansbury in the Hallmark Christmas musical special, "Mrs. Santa Claus," from among more than 500 girls.
After "Kidsongs," Bartilson started working regularly on TV, appearing on "The Good Life," "Married... with Children" with Christina Applegate, "The Faculty," "Moloney," "7th Heaven," "Suddenly Susan," "Party of File" and "That 70s Show." In 1995, she achieved stardom as the sarcastic daughter on "Grounded For Life" which ran for five years across two networks. Her films include "A Rat's Tale," "When I Was a Boy," "Struck," "Shattered Grace," "Joan's Day Out," "Bad Roomies" and "This is Christmas Enjoying helping others achieve their goals, Bartilson became the director and choreographer for Celebrity Centre's Kids on Stage for a Better World, working with with forty to fifty youngsters to create positive-message benefit concerts for the disadvantaged. The group was awarded the Young Artists Awards Michael J. Landon Community Service Award. She is also currently the International Spokesperson for Youth for Human Rights.
In 2002, Bartilson recorded the song, "This Christmas I Will Give My Love to You" and "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" for "School's Out! Christmas." Her later TV roles include roles on "Judging Amy," "NYPD Blue," "Malcolm in the Middle," "Bones" and "Good Luck, Charlie."
Lynsey married her boyfriend, Cru Moore, on September 4, 2016. They have two children.
