Welcome To Ashford Falls

Ashford Falls is the home of Paul Kirkwood, Janet DuBois and Rachel Hedison, characters from the fictional TV series "Beyond Our Dreams" featured in the 1991 movie, "Delirious" starring John Candy, David Rasche, Mariel Hemingway and Emma Samms along with a cast of comedy and drama actors. This website expands on the scope of that fictional universe, using details and quotes from the movie while creating new storylines from other modern dramas ranging from "Dallas" to "Dark Shadows." After all, if struggling writers can expand the worlds of George Lucas and Gene Roddenberry and establish larger franchise universes, why can't I do with with a Tom Mankiewitz movie? If you have any questions or concerns, please send them here.

Delirious is a 1991 fantasy comedy film starring John Candy, Mariel Hemingway, Emma Samms and Raymond Burr (in his last film role before his death). It tells the story of a soap opera writer typing without a ribbon. When Jack Gates (John Candy) wakes up after getting hit with a truck, he wakes up within the world of his television series, a nightmare that turns into a chance to meet his dream date. The movie features the song "Delirious" by Prince from his "1999" album released in 1982. Although the movie was considered a commercial failure after its release, holding a 44% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it has actually become a small cult hit with a small legion of loyal fans.
