True and Real Ghost Stories of the Supernatural is an American paranormal documentary that documents and features reputed haunted houses and paranormal sites. Narrated by Richard Crosby, the series interviews individuals who have had encounters with ghosts and haunted houses and features actor recreations.
Produced and directed through Alan Brady Productions in New York City, the series ran for ten seasons and 205 episodes on the Ghost Network (now the Chiller Network). Most of the series appeal came from the weak to incompetent production values between the twelve to fifteen producers on the show. Boom mikes often appeared in recreations, special effects were below par, one actor playing a dead body got up and wandered off in a scene and one intoxicated actor forgot his lines while taping and started notably improvising. Fan sites and drinking games were inspired by the countless bloopers and sloppy production values in the series. Both Russell Coleman and Jason Pryde were fans of the series.
